Maison Martin Margiela presented the menswear collection on Friday in Paris last week. Comprising of sweaters made of recycled benies, suits that were illusionary one pieces and almost vulgar leather and fur anoraks, it was altogether loud and redundant that it would become amusing. The pre-fall womenswear collection, presented one day earlier, was however and for obvious selling purposes much more subtle. Still, it ventured on enormous emeraldand beige fur coats worn with either nothing or something very short, creating – in the majority of the time – an asymmetrical balance. The garments individually are very wearable and more easy than usual, looking as though they are aiming attain a younger crowd. If these collections were not much of an impression, then hopefully the Artisinal presentation during the upcoming couture week will.
