‘London’

The London based brand Joseph has for the last past couple of years been recognised for its wearable and modern statement pieces of coats and knits that have gained a great audience around the world. For fall, designer Louise Trotter continues to create volume of boxy shaped shoulder paired with slim and slouchy fitted pants, mostly coloured in black and white although some were pieces wore a vibrant hues of pink and orange. The emphasize on volume moved downwards as the collection continued however, a-line silhouettes over narrow trousers paired with a blazer. What was most interesting was a experiment with different pattern compositions, often interwoven in the textures themselves except for a great looking fur jacket in a patchwork technique.

One of the biggest trends for fall is mixing tailored and androgynous pieces with a ultra feminine beauty look. Eveyrything retro is right, and the cat eye is making a big comeback. Dolce & Gabbana are one of the brands that gave their models a dramatic look with a longeated eyeliner in black paired with matte red lips which created a dramatic look.
To make the perfect arch, you need a good eyeliner. Eyeko is a London based brand soon to be launched in Sweden that focuses completely on the eyes. Their skinny eyeliner makes it simple to apply a wrought shape to the eye, with a lot of pigment. Below you can watch a video where the ultimate eyeliner frame is created. Topshop Unique was definetely playground inspired when it comes to material, and hydrophobic materials seemed to be a favourite. Even the silhouettes with for example an extra large playsuit went well with the theme, and oversized was the key word throughout the collection. But when it comes to colors Topshop Unique has definetely gone over to the dark side with black, blood red and grey for half of it, and then softer colours such as mustard, white and light blue in the end.

The resemblance between an LP and a space ship might not be to far fetched after all, which Koma made us realize with his fall/winter collection. It was a playful yet sexy mix of pieces that came down the runway, a result of shortened lengths and body hugging dresses with more girlish flare endings. The colors, mostly black, but also lagoon blue, beige skin and hot red, seemed to have almost nothing in common which made the collection even more interesting.

Thornton Bregazzi make a strong statement for fall with a collection based on black with red accents on all pieces. The balance between male and feminine incorporation in all the pieces are also astonishing. Exquisite tailoring is matched with a shirt that has embroidered flowers, a mostly black outfit is topped of with a pair of red hot pumps and a long flowy dress is worn with an oversized suit jacket. It is the mix between these things that makes this collection so brilliant.
